Water Based Color Match Kit The clear base of water based colors is a unique blend of water borne resins with a high solids water borne poly-urethane dispersion (pud), specially designed for increased flexibility without cracking. An additional feature is the rapid cure development. Within four hours the coating will attain 50% of total curing, 8 hours 80% - a 30% increase. Water based colors are designed for high performance uses, where durability, flexibility, chemical and abrasion resistance are required. They provides excellent adhesion over a variety of substrates, especially soft, pliable leather. The aliphatic backbone results in an excellent UV and salt spray resistance, permitting its use in exterior applications. All the above properties can be enhanced by using crosslinker.
